If your blood sugar falls between 55-69 mg/dL consume 15 grams of carbohydrates and recheck your blood sugar levels after 15 minutes. If it remains below your target range, consume another serving.

Repeat these steps until it reaches your target range. Once you’ve sthbilized you BGLs, eat a nourishing meal or snack to prevent further drops.

15 grams of carbohydrates is equal to half a glass of fruit juice or soft drink, one tube of glucose gel or one tablespoon of honey.
