How do you stabilise BGLs with schedules?

Maintaining a consistent daily routine can contribute to more stable blood sugar levels for people with type 1 diabetes.

Consider a regular schedule where you –

  • Eat meals at least 3 to 4 hours apart
  • Avoid changing your meal times by more than 2 hours
  • Check your BGLs and eat snacks 2 to 3 hours after each meal
  • Take your long-acting insulin at the same time each day
