If you want to live alone or find yourself in situations where you are on your own for long periods of time, individuals with T1D (type one diabetes) need to consider how they will manage Hypers and Hypos.

- suffering headaches and/or blurred vision
A Hypo or Hypoglycaemia happens when there isn’t enough sugar/glucose in your bloodstream. The Hypoglycaemia symptoms you need to watch out for are:
- feeling lightheaded, shaky and sweaty
- feeling fragile and wanting to cry
- suffering headaches and/or blurred vision
- suffering tingling in the lips, tongue or cheeks
- feeling irritable and becoming confused
- struggling to concentrate and focus on things
- suffering slurred speech, behaving like you are drunk
